Hacker group AnonSec says it has stolen $100,000 from Google Inc., which was hit by a ransomware attack earlier this week.
The group said the theft took place on Tuesday, though the FBI declined to name the hacker or the organization behind the attack.
It is the latest in a series of high-profile cyberattacks on companies.
The hack came two days after Google said it was working with authorities to stop the spread of the malware.
In a statement, the company said it has since identified three more attackers, all with links to the same command and control system.
“We are investigating and have identified three additional individuals in connection with this incident,” the company wrote in a statement.
Anonymous said it had already stolen $500,000.
Anonymous’ attacks have gained prominence over the past few years, and the group often takes credit for attacks that other hackers did not.
