The UK’s first recruitment video for Islamic State militants has been released by the extremists, claiming responsibility for the July 7 terror attacks in Manchester.
The film, which was filmed in the Middle East, is a message to supporters of the terror group that they can be recruited to join their ranks and is being released on YouTube.
The videos, called “Welcome to the Islamic State” and “The Hunt Begins”, were filmed in Mosul, Iraq, in November.
The terror group’s propaganda arm released a video in December claiming responsibility.
“The video is being circulated in Iraq and Syria by Daesh (IS), a jihadist organisation that aims to establish a caliphate on the land of Islam,” the video said.
“They have established a recruitment centre in Mosul that is ready to welcome anyone from anywhere in the world who is willing to join them.”
The terror outfit has been active in Iraq for several years and has gained notoriety for carrying out attacks on civilians.
